I love cream colour bases

I've been examining and falling back in love with old products from my kit.

I decided it is time to use up my products and concentrate on clearing out stuff I barely use. One of which is a cream colour base in a very pale white. I'm not going to claim I don't know why I bought it - I own my weirdly pale Irish skin.

I did go through a phase of being super into the cream colour bases. I know they may seem confusing but basically, they are a creamy product that can be used for a number of things. They can be highlighters, blushers, eye shadows, contours, tints, lipsticks.....you get the idea. There is an entire shade range of these things out there to play with.

I love these for a more natural highlight on the cheekbones. I'm so sick of seeing highlighter piled onto the cheekbones with no blending. I know the trend on Instagram is to pack it on in layers of thick almost greasy looking contour - but that is not my style

I prefer looking a bit more on the natural side. Often times, what works on Instagram and on a night out doesn't work in the board room on a Monday. So I tone it down. I do switch to powder for more impact when I'm out for the night though.
So yeah, cream color base can also be great if your skin is on the drier side too as sometimes I feel powder can be just that - powdery.

The price is pretty good for the bases too - I think they are about £15-£17 but they last for ages. I would also suggest looking at Shell and Hush too as both are fantastic for a highlight.
