WHAT IS : Face Mapping?

I do believe in you are what you eat.

It has been bothering me that since my move to Italy, I cannot follow my paleo diet as strictly. I don't eat a lot of carbs but when I do, it bothers me a lot. It's hard to avoid in this country as Italians do love the pizza and pasta!

They not only like it but they make it incredibly well.

I have noticed differences but one of the major differences is my skin.

I believe that the skin and breakouts show where the problem lies. I found this cool face map from Vanguard dermatologist, Michael Shapiro. Face mapping is not exactly new as its an ancient Chinese medicine technique that can reveal where problems in the body lie by revealing themselves on on the face.

It should also be noted that external factors can cause spots as well. Dirty brushes, pillowcases, touching the face and also, sleeping with make up on can all cause break outs.  So doesn't matter how pure your diet is.

I look at my own skin. I noticed on my paleo diet it was incredible. I had glowing, clear and healthy skin. Now, I have break outs. I notice that this is concentrated around my chin and forehead. According to the chart, this could be because of my increase in sugary foods. I spent a lot of time getting rid of the sugar in my diet. I have noticed it creeping back in now. I am determined to cut it back out now that I am getting used to the Italian diet.
The chin situation is related to a kidney imbalance. I am wondering if this has something to do with my water drinking situation. I went through litres of water in Nottingham. I normally had at least 2 -3 a day minimum. Now, its a lot harder for me to access water all the time. I have to make a real effort to do it. I am wondering if this has had an effect on my kidneys? Also I am drinking wine at night now which is not something  I did before a lot. I might try increasing my water intake and switching the wine to red before eliminating it.
Lets see if it makes a difference.
I did note something interesting, I used to get spots around my brows when I was younger. This was around the time I suffered with really bad gallbladder issues. I eventually had my gallbladder removed in 2008. I have noticed a difference with this. I had wondered what I was doing that had caused this to change. Now a change in hair products is the cause and a rare one.

I am fascinated by this. It all depends on how seriously  you believe in it. I would be interested in finding out more.

I am not trying to force a paleo diet on anyone. I just miss it! A lot. I am hoping to return to it.
